Is there a macro that would seek out all symbols in a document and revert them all to objects? I believe the symbols are really bogging down my file and there are too many at this point to find them. Thanks.

After you try this, please share your results in this thread, i.e., whether or not you saw a change in performance by converting the symbols to regular objects. I am curious, and I expect that other users may be, too.
Definitely. One of the major problems I keep having is anytime I bring a new symbol into my document and convert to an object it takes almost five minutes for it to complete. Corel basically locks up and the layers docker just flickers until it's done.
It seems strange to me, but I have seen cases where carrying out an operation by using a simple VBA macro was much, much faster than performing the same operation the normal way in CorelDRAW.
One example came up in this thread: CorelDraw X8 Renders Vertices Prior to Deleting.
I've had that same thing happen. Sometimes a macro cuts through the mustard faster than a button click operation. I have no idea why.

I can understand some of the reasons - such as a macro not having CorelDRAW update information on the screen for every operation.
The bigger question to me would be, "Why does CorelDRAW, on its own, update information on the screen for some of those operations?" I'm thinking of jobs such as deleting a layer with many shapes on it, or carrying out an "undo" that has many operations in it.
Oh here's one I know is faster. If I use the dimension tool and adjust things like the "Text position" or "Dimension Style" using the dimension toolbar it takes longer that way then to do it than using a preset style to make the change.
