Im inexperienced with working with raster graphics and I can do simple stuff but I have no idea how to do this. I have to separate this graphic to print on t shirts, and the program I have will only separate it well if the colors are exactly RGB "Orange" and RGB "Blue" If the color is off the separation will be dull and not vibrant. So what I need to do is take this flat raster image a client sent and select all of the orage-ish and blue-ish colors to make them closer to the pure RGB color. Hope that makes sense.
Heres the image so you have a better idea of what Im trying to do:
The image is quite pixelated and not very high res, so it will make selecting difficult I think...
Screen Printing
I tried the Replace colors feature and it worked generally very well. Although I lost some details in the navy parts when I changed it to a royal blue color.
I have a similar image to this that was two purples. One a deeper purple and the other closer to magenta, that was much more difficult to use Replace Colors with. It changed the colors well but the subtle transitions between the purples became flat and squared.
I could probably get the desired affect if I could select the navy and nothing else and mess around with the saturation, lightness, levels, etc. But Im not sure what the best way to select that is or if maybe there's a better way to go about this process.
Ive seen some real nice photoshop tutorials for stuff like this, but idk how to translate them into photo paint because of my lack of experience.
Hello, I've separated to 2 spot color channels - see attached.
