Is it possible to set CorelDraw x8 so that i can save as an x16 file all the time while using x8 ...i understand you can use a macro to do it, but i have never used macro's before!
I got pointed to this thread when I requested a macro to save as X6.
I did as you said.
Nothing happens when I ran the macro, well, almost. If I run the macro on a new document (not saved before) nothing seem to happen.
If I run the macro on a document that has been saved before, the title bar, where it show the path of the filename, it adds another "\" in the plast for the last backslash position for every time I run the macro. Like C:\files\\\\test.cdr and the file itself seems to be still in X8 format.
Macro editor:
maybe attached macro will help (nzip and copy to folder with macros)
SaveAsX6.zip
Works better. Thanks. First time save you are presented with dialog where you have to remember to set to X6 yourself. For already saved files it would silently save as X6 format. A bit sneaky but it works. Thanks.
