CorelDraw X8 - Cutting Master Plug-In, takes forever to insert reg marks

I use CDX8 with my cutter software.  The software is called Cutting Master 3 and is a plug in.  It adds registration marks to the artwork before I send it to the printer.

When I click to add the reg marks it takes forever to insert them, 10 minutes plus on a good day!  When i do the same using Adobe Illustrator with the same plug in it adds the marks in seconds.

I'm having to use the Adobe which drives me mad!

Anyone any ideas on this please?

Is it still possible to change memory locations/scratch disks etc?  I run a RamDisk and wondered if this might help?
