About a week ago I started having issues with CD X8. When I would start the program (same way I have done forever), it loads then a vba message appears. Disable vba, except vba, info.
I have tried disabling, excepting many times and still get the same gray screen appearing.
I is a gray screen with Visual Basics for Applications across the top. If I click anywhere on the screen corel locks up and I have to use the task manager to close. I have had many issues with CD 8 but this is the latest and I can't seem to find any information on how to fix or work around.
I really have to watch how I work in Corel now as it seems to lock out for no apparent reason.
Help........
Thank you in advance for any information.
Clicked on "trust all loaded macros" and "Delay load VBA" Seems to work right now.
Thank you both for the help.
I have another VBA issue that I have been unable to do since all this happened.
I run a graphtec vinyl cutter and use Cutting Master 4 as the cutting program. There is a plugin that opens with
the launch dropdown. 1 to send the design to the cutter and 1 to install registration marks. I only use the "Install registration marks" a few times a year and now that plugin does not open. It shows when I go to the Launch dropdown but nothing happens. I have tried Graphtec customer support with no luck. Any tips on what I could try there?
Thank you very much for all the help.
Why not have your own macro to make the marks? That's what I do. Just need to know what your registration mark requirements are i.e. line weight, color inside reg or outside
Thank you Myron for the macro tip.
When I do print cut I use the inside marks. I think with the cutting master plugin the max size is 3/4" and line weight of .039.
I do some die cut stickers a few times a year to put on the back of my sand carved glass pieces.
Would I need to make a macro to insert on different page sizes? How is your macro set up. I am lost creating any macro that is more than basic.
Thank you for your help.
select the shape you need reg marks on. I usually draw a rectangle around what I'm setting up to cut. Size it about a 1/2" or more bigger. Run the macro on that rectangle. It creates a "cut" layer and a seperate layer for the the reg marks (required by our plotter). Page size is irrelevant but you could set the macro to read the page size and set the marks accordingly. Really your preference.
Great, that looks like it should work. I'll play around today and see if I can create a macro to do this.
Thank you so much.
this, by the way, can be done without macro, manually. Draw rectangle on the border and curve it. Add one node and break it. Draw two more rectangles a little wider and higher than the original. Then just do two operations "Back minus Front" with each rectangle.
Thank you both for all the help.
I have done similar to what Shark posted and also just manually created corners similar in size to what
I have printed in the past. I put in a separate layer and printed off. Loaded in my cutter and opened the cutting master 4 plugin. It did not recognize the registration marks. I will play around some more and try and figure what I need to name the layer as so the plugin recognizes it for the cutter. Graphtec ce5000-120.
Thanks again for all the help.
I use an import command to bring in premaide reg marks named top left, top right ,etc
macro then does a find and align to shape/shapes selected. Uses a series of SendKeys. Not the ideal way but it works until I can figure out a more streamlined approach. Don't like relying on a seperate file to import either but...
