Photograv

I laser engrave photos without the benefit of Photograv.  I've read alot of hype but haven't been any place to see a comparison of what it can do.  Between Corel Photo-paint and the Corel Painter Essentials II I got with my tablet, I am turning out some pretty nice stuff.  Since Photograv didn't come with the business I bought, I have thought about it but the price is pretty high for a gamble.  I would like to hear from others as to the pros and cons of Photograv.  Any comments?

    • Hello Tony,

      1. I upgraded from x5 to x7 -5 had a very easy method to take a line drawing to a vector via an add on which was standard to it. X7 does not seem to have this,

could you direct me in the method one follows in X7 please?

I think I blundered to do an upgrade... 5 was good and easy - they seem to have complicated many things in X7 - not a very happy camper!

      Thank you

      • Sounds like you've been using PowerTrace, which is included in X7 too.

X7 is not difficult to use. The UI is new and some things have changed, but you'll soon find it is as easy to use as X5. Ask if you get stuck.

May I suggest you post in the X7 forum instead, it has many more followers and you are more likely to get answers to your questions there.

        • Hi Ronny,

Thank you for caring and the reply.

          1. Is the x7forum part of this forum?

          2. No Powertrace was not the tool I used. The X5 came with a definite add on, it was truly cool to use and so simple and supremely effective - I was not aware of the ability of this add on until i cam across a utube vid which explained it

          perhaps X7 has similar?

          thank you

          • Seems like you're looking for PhotoZoom, right?

PhotoZoom 3 is part of the full X7 Graphics Suite (not the Home & Student version), and can be added after registering the suite.
It works as a plug-in directly from PhotoPaint.

And yes, the X7 group is part of coreldraw.com
