i have developed a 3d model in model space and shaded view with edges. However in the paper space, i have made a viewport . Why it doesnt show the same shaded view with edges the same in the model space. It only shows 2d wire mesh frame. Can Corel help and do something about this issues. Autodesk and some other cad software do not have this problems!!!
Very poor software support from Corel.
You can specify the SHADEVIEW mode for each viewport in a layout sheet individually. However, when selecting a rendering mode you may need to confirm/specify your choice in the Command Window again. Watch the Command Window when you select (e.g.,) "Gouraud with Edges" (while the viewport is active in the layout sheet). You need to type "o" as mnemonic for that rendering option and confirm with Enter:
For print output note the "Shade Print" property in the Miscellaneous section in the Properties panel for the viewport. Default setting is "As displayed" but you can also specify a shade view mode just for print output.
Thanks . It works for me. However, my CorelCad crashes each time i try to change the Shaded View to try out different types and change of colors. Why like that?
I did not come across any such issues - make sure you have the latest update installed. There was a number of improvements implemented with CorelCAD 2023.5 which is available for download from here. If that doesn't help you may want to reach out to Corel Customer Support for troubleshooting that issue.
