Uninstalling X3 advice?

Hi, I need to uninstall X3 completely from a machine. What is the best way to do it? I am using Vista and i went into Remove Programs and simply clicked coreldraw graphical suite X3 and then clicked "remove"... it seemed to remove the program but it left the folder behind in the windows folder... and if i do a search i still get a few user pref files....?

help please!

  • Most programs will do that: it only "uninstalls" the stuff that the installation put onto your machine - any files generated by the program (like user preferences and save files) you will have to remove manually. Normally it's just a matter of selecting the folder from the "Program Files" and deleting it. (and perhaps some folders from the "Profiles" directory)

You can "purge" the system by searching your hard disk for related files and registry for related entries - I would strongly advise against this: a very good way to completley screw up your system is by deleting stuff that you shouldn't.
