I have never had any issues before pulling in artwork using the scrapbook / browse method to open a folder and rummage through artwork and other images from other files. Now, when I double click on the folder, it doesn't do anything, and if I click on a folder that has pictures, instead, I look down and photos are automatically running in the photo viewer program. I don't know what is happening all of a sudden. I am working on a big project for a very important client and I cannot function without being able to pull artwork from other folders.
What version of windows are you running?
Windows 7. And like I said, this is something new. I've always been able to pull from the scrapbook / files and now it just doesn't work.
I single click to try to open the folder, and nothing happens. When I double click is when the photo viewer seems to open in a separate screen. I think I might need to update the program - it is really old. What would be a more current version? I can't afford the latest and greatest but can look for an update to the program that is newer than 9.
Updating Coreldraw is not going to help you in this case. Scrapbook is not a feature of any of the current, or even recent, versions. So we need to try to fix the one that you have.
I'm assuming that you are double clicking in the scrapbook. What happens if you double click in windows explorer? I'm hoping that it will also open in picture viewer, which means that the problem is in windows and can probably be fixed.
When I double click in scrapbook, yes, the picture viewer opens in a separate window. I have not tried to double click anything directly in windows explorer - you mean something other than being in Corel / scrapbook? All other programs are functioning correctly.

Yes, if you click the windows key to bring up the windows start menu and type a folder name in the box where the cursor appears, that will bring up windows explorer to show that folder. You can then double click on any image file that appears there.
Or, it you have any image files on your windows desktop, double click one of those.
Not having any trouble opening any other files or folders anywhere on the computer. Only accessing those through scrapbook.
