I have never had any issues before pulling in artwork using the scrapbook / browse method to open a folder and rummage through artwork and other images from other files. Now, when I double click on the folder, it doesn't do anything, and if I click on a folder that has pictures, instead, I look down and photos are automatically running in the photo viewer program. I don't know what is happening all of a sudden. I am working on a big project for a very important client and I cannot function without being able to pull artwork from other folders.
What version of windows are you running?
Windows 7. And like I said, this is something new. I've always been able to pull from the scrapbook / files and now it just doesn't work.
Hello chelev; Ver. 9 is very old, and may have a hard time on Windows 7. But you could try to run it in compatibility mode,That may help. Are you having problems opening or importing a file, other than using Scrapbook?
George
So, the folder you are double-clicking on when it opens in picture viewer -- is that folder in windows explorer or in scrapbook ?
I single click to try to open the folder, and nothing happens. When I double click is when the photo viewer seems to open in a separate screen. I think I might need to update the program - it is really old. What would be a more current version? I can't afford the latest and greatest but can look for an update to the program that is newer than 9.
No other problems that I can see. I was working in it last night and to get around the scrapbook issue, I opened powerpoint, inserted the jpeg I needed onto a blank page, copied and pasted it into the Corel folder and it worked okay. Time consuming but I will always try to find a work-around.
Updating Coreldraw is not going to help you in this case. Scrapbook is not a feature of any of the current, or even recent, versions. So we need to try to fix the one that you have.
I'm assuming that you are double clicking in the scrapbook. What happens if you double click in windows explorer? I'm hoping that it will also open in picture viewer, which means that the problem is in windows and can probably be fixed.
