Cant open a .Cdr file in Corel Draw 12

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me.  I received a .cdr file from someone who was using corel draw 9.  Now when I go to open it up in Corel Draw 12 which is what I have it says the following message. "Either C:\documents and settings\1of2.cdr is not importable using the selected filter, or this format is not supported.  Does anyone know how I can open it?  When I go into my Documents The file has a preview icon of what the file is suppose to look like but yet it wont open up.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance

    hi I thought I sent this before but not sure if it got posted. I have version 10 on an old machine if you want me to take your file and bring it up to be usable in 12. I think you can only go back 2 versions. my email is donna@commonbond.biz if you want to write me and send me your file. happy to help,
