It happens to me about 50 % of all time when I'm using the Paper Size dialog to crop an image:
No matter which alignment I select in the Placement drop-down box, PhotoPAINT uses the opposite direction.
This doesn't always happen, but it happens about every second time I use that dialog (and I use it often). It seems the error occurs randomly, probably not initializing some internal program memory location correctly.
This error is sooooooo annoying and frustrating!
Please fix quickly.
Thanks,
Unless others chime in and say they are having the same issue, I think it is specific to your system. I have used Photo-Paint for many years and that feature has never once failed to work "as designed".
Best regards,Brian.
No issue here (on 64 bit desktop or 32 bit laptop). As Brian says, it sounds like something specific to your system.
Thanks, guys.
No, that can't be the case. This error bugs me since CorelDRAW 7. On all my different machines I've ever had. So this is no specific machine issue.
Since this is a random error I don't know what triggers it. My guess is that the image dimensions may trigger this error.
I'm usually cropping screenshots with this function. So I'm using this dialog to crop 1920*1200 images to, say, 633 * 789 image. Yesterday this operation failed with two of three screenshot I made for another post here in the forum. I selected "lower right" with all of the three screenshots, but the result was that two of them return the "upper right" edge of the original image.
I could solve the problem here by selecting "upper right" to get the "lower right" portion of the image. But the most painful problem is: Since this is a random problem, that solution might not work, because PhotoPAINT might want to use this changing of edges to get itself cleared and then it gives me the correct "wrong" edge of the image again. *aaaaarrrgh*
