I use CorelDraw exclusivity for my Sign Company and was woundering if the is a macro or even a setting that I have missed within CorelDraw for showing square footage or square dimensioning for a selection you have.
Thank you,
Craig
I think there is a MACRO AVAILABLE at macromonster.com
GetArea12c is the one I have.

Thank you all,
Maybe I am missing something or I did not explain myself. I appologize.
It I have text or an object on my document that is selected, I need it to take the lengnth by height of the object and multiply it by itself and figure the square footage that i need. What I do know is; select text (or an object) take the x and y, multiply it and IF it is in inches I take that sum and multiply it by 144 to get the square footage. I can do manually like I do but was wondering if there was a macro to do this.
That's what this macro does... but you just select ft^2 in the dialogue box... and it's not a sum, it's a result, and it's divide sq in by 144 (not multiply) to get sq ft. (12" x 12" is 144 sq in... divided by 144 = 1 sq ft ( = 12" x 12" = 12 in square... = 1 sq ft - not 12 sq in)
See Jeff's previous other post on the area question for the link to the macro named GetArea12c.gms
It does the job lickety-split.
dd,
I can't find the macro GetArea12c.gms anywhere. I have looked many places including Monstermacros.
If it is free, could you attach it?

Glad you found it but in a harder way, but that macro was attached in the very third post in this same thread.
I have written one that not only provides sq ft of object selected, - calculates price based on whatever you input.
Very handy..when you need a quick price on something.... :) it also does other some things....weed boxes and such
select object - click total - click price.
Hi muts,
Where can i get your tools? Looks great.

hi Craig,
Here are some things to see in the meantime:
Note: They are both commercial.
for weedboxes
and
tons of advanced stuff, including automatic nesting
Still have a bit of work to do on it still... mostly cleaning up the code.
keep ya posted...
