I have reinstalled the program multiple times now.. Every single time I open up a CDR it may open or it may just crash then. Or open for a second or two then crash.. I have tried running under the recomended shell.. such as XP sv pack 2... Which is strange because it ran for years on my Win7 Pro 32 bit wit no issues.. I do have to let use different fonts as I don't have them all loaded on the new machine yet. font issue? CDR's without fonts seem to open and run a bit longer until crashing.. I sure appreciate your help; I need it to work so bad.. thank you
I think there are limitations in the XP compatibility mode.
There used to be an addon called XP mode which runs an actual XP installation in a virtual machine. Microsoft has discontinued support for it as part of their global domination attempt to stop people using XP -- but it is still possible, according to http://www.howtogeek.com/171395/how-to-get-windows-xp-mode-on-windows-8/
When you installed Ultimate did you format the drive for an absolutely clean install?

I'm not understanding, I thought you said that this was a fresh install. So you had Version 12 installed first on a system that didn't support version 12 correct?
