Does anyone know where I can find more infor on this component. I can only find the small example in the reference site but can't find any listing of the effects and their parameters that can be used beside the whirlpool effect in the example.
FYI, goto the Photo-Paint API and look under the CorelScript class for the various effect settings. Just follow the naming conventions used in the applyBitmapEffects sample and it should work, the last setting in the sample however doesn't appear in the settings and I suppose it is optional.
FYI, 2019 does not appear to work with some of the effects using this method. I am playing around with it to see what has changed and I ponder it may be due to the none destructive editing they introduced in Corel Draw. It is just a guess at this point.
Any progress with this? I'm trying to use Cd vba to apply an effect to a bitmap.
s.ConvertToBitmapEx cdrRGBColorImage, False, True, 150, cdrNormalAntiAliasing
s.Bitmap.ApplyBitmapEffects "Gaussian Blur", "GaussianBlurEffect GaussianBlurRadius=800,GaussianBlurResampled=0"
I know 2019 had issues with the gaussian blur programmatically, but my version just updated with the third update and I have not checked recently. I will give it a go tomorrow and let you know what I find out.
I tried it out and this works in CorelDraw 2019 update 3
Sub convert2RGBgBlur()Dim s As ShapeSet s = ActiveShape'When you convert to bitmap you have to reset it to s againSet s = s.ConvertToBitmapEx(cdrRGBColorImage, False, True, 150, cdrNormalAntiAliasing)
s.Bitmap.ApplyBitmapEffect "Gaussian Blur", "GaussianBlurEffect GaussianBlurRadius=800, GaussianBlurResampled=0"
End Sub
Dagnabbit, doesn't work for X7
I also have X7.6 and tried the code, and it worked just fine for me. Now I am puzzled that it did not work for you. My system has X7.6, CD 2018, and CD 2019. I wonder if that could somehow affect the coding?
Ok. I've worked it out. Not sure what was missing but I have it working now.
