Have been unable to get anything to go to my cutter/plotter. I Upgraded to Windows 10, I have updated all the cutters drivers and cut program and just installed Corel 2018 I go to Launch/cut and I get the Error message says "running Corel not found." I'm using a Graphtec CE5000 cutter. Need a fix ASAP. If anyone knows what I need to do please contact me. Am very behind on work. timbond@bondsigns.com Thanks..
Uninstall and try to install again, I use Summa and works perfect with new drivers for Corel 2018
You say you're up to date on your software and such so I'm assuming you're running the latest Cutting Master 4? Graphtec doesn't actually say on their download page https://www.graphtecamerica.com/cp-download-ce5000-60-120 that Cutting Master 4 supports Coreldraw 2018 or what version it does support like the older Cutting Master 3 program. But I do know from using version 4 with Coreldraw 2017 on a friend's FC8600 Graphtec cutter that it worked fine (and he hasn't updated to Coreldraw 2018 and won't until a service pack is released due to graphics rendering problems). So it wouldn't surprise me one bit that the current version of Cutting Master 4 is incompatible with 2018 and needs an update. I would personally contact Graphtec and ask them when they're going to update their software to support Coreldraw 2018.
This is an ongoing problem with people upgrading to the latest Coreldraw version and using vinyl cutting software and helper plugins. It has happened to me using SignCut Productivity Pro in the past also. Until the Vinyl cutter vendor updates their bridge program (the software that interfaces with both Coreldaw and the actual hardware driver) or add-on cutting plugin, there's not much you can do unless you use an older version of Coreldraw that is compatible with the current cutter driver.
You're at Graphtec's mercy here, not Corel's in this case. And as a bit of a catch 22, Graphtec won't update their driver until it's users complain that it doesn't work with the latest Coreldraw 2018. So log your complaint there also and get a support ticket or else nothing will happen. I'm sure you're not alone either and there must be others who've upgraded to Coreldraw 2018 and use Graphtec cutters and are now having issues.
Summa updates drivers in a week after Corel 2018 come out
OK that's nice Erik that "Summa updates drivers in a week after Corel 2018 came out" but what does that have to do with Graphtec and this person's issue? He owns a GRAPHTEC and not a SUMMA cutter.
I'm just saying that software must be uninstalled, if is not working. Uninstall, restart PC and than install new.
