This issue has got to be fixed. I have a brand new machine, corel x8 subsription and all updated drivers (AMD FireFro W5170M). Copy and Paste takes 10 seconds to work and the paste function stopped working all together with my e-mails which is frustrating as I depend on that to bring copy into my files.
The problem seemed to be fixed until I plugged my laptop into my display monitors...since then the C&P function is useless even after I unplug my laptop from external displays.
I've wasted days on this issue and it's the simplest function. Copy and freaken Paste, come on!
Back to Illustrator unfortunately
Apparently the Outlook desktop app isn't compatible with copy and pasting images and copy into Corel. It works if I open Outlook in my browser which is annoying...
I know it doesn't help you, but I've just esily C&Ped a moderate bitmap from Outlook 2016 into both Draw and PP 2018...
Could it be a display/driver issue?
Thanks, It works perfectly in all other graphic programs. I'm using my browser to open outlook which fixes that Corel issue until I can locate the source of the problem.
I'm more concerned with the Copy and Paste function in the program itself. It takes 7 seconds to use Ctrl C to copy a simple circle in a brand new document. This has been haunting me on 2 machines in Corel x7 and x8 for months now. If I drag and right click an object Corel copies an object perfectly.
Following up on the notion of it possibly being a video driver issue...
There were some reports of serious performance problems with CorelDRAW with some of the AMD-based video cards / drivers, starting with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Searching the forum for "AMD" will find those threads.
Here's a large thread that I followed on that topic: Windows 10 Fall Creators Update - delay in various functions.
Perhaps you've already looked into that. I wasn't sure, so I mentioned it.
Thanks again, yes I've looked into that but haven't found a resolution. I do have an AMD FirePro W5170M Graphics Card. All updates are current on both the card and Corel x8. The odd thing is this problem was solved by upgrading the Corel x8 for a couple days...until I plugged into my external monitors. Now x8 lags whether it's plugged into the monitors or not.
Seems as If no real solution to this AMD/WIndows 10 update has been addressed by Corel unless I'm missing something?
