I currently have my default palette set to RGB when I start a new document, as my default palette in my drawing desktop, etc. However, when I get to certain palette drop downs, it still defaults to Pantone colors. How do I correct this to have all palette options (drop downs, etc.) default to RGB? In the image below I am changing the color of all the lines in a table. It happens in other instances, too--such as changing the color of an outline within the Outline Pen box.
I appreciate any help!

Under tools color management set the default rendering intent to RGB, when you start a new document assuming the new document dialog make sure the color mode/rendering of effects is RGB.
I'm not finding exactly what you are talking about. Under rendering intent I have the following:
Please advise.
Thanks!!
I'm sorry it's the primary color mode, I screw up and call rendering because the primary color mode controls the rendering of special effects for output. You need to make sure that the same setting primary color mode RGB is set in the new document. Old documents created the with CMYK as primary color mode cam be changed to RGB but the dialogs will maintain CMYK until you access them and then they will remember RGB.
