How to Convert VECTOR pattern to editable vector objects?

Sorry for my English.

I need to know how to convert vector pattern to editable vector objects.

  • Presumably the vector pattern is constructed of open curves? If so then,

Take a copy of all objects (to a new layer perhaps)

Remove all fills and make outlines black

Convert all objects to bitmap using a high resolution, at least 300dpi.

Change the bitmap mode to 1 bit monochrome

Use PowerTrace Outline mode to trace the object edges. Settings should be high detail and little smoothing

Back in Draw you will now have fillable objects.

Personally I use Trace v12 for this job as its very fast, has no upper pixel limit, and is probably more accurate producing fewer nodes.

Post a file here for an example of how its done.

  • One approach is to export from CorelDRAW to some vector format (e.g., .ai or .eps), then import that file back into CorelDRAW.
  • Thanks for the answer.

hywelharris - it works. Not ideal but it works. Thank you.

Eskimo - I could not do it with the eps. But it worked out with .ai. Thank you.

I believe there should be a simpler function for this as it exists in the competition. The file is on this drive link if someone wants to test it.
