Can I change the eye dropper tool at the bottom that adds a colour to the palette to CYMK ...... it always adds it as RGB.

  • In general, I think that when you add a color to a palette using the eyedropper, the color space it gets depends on what is being sampled.

If you're sampling the outline or uniform fill of a shape, for example, then it might be RGB, CMYK, Grayscale, some Spot color, etc. - whatever the color space is of the outline or fill being sampled.

If you've imported a CMYK bitmap into CorelDRAW, then sampling from it using the eyedropper gets CMYK colors.

If you are sampling from the desktop - i.e., outside of CorelDRAW - then I think you just get RGB.

In any case, after adding a color to a palette, that color in the palette can be edited. That editing can include changing it to a different color space. So, you could sample an RGB color, and then edit the color just added to the palette to make it CMYK (and to tweak it in other ways if you wish).
