The Outline tool has disappeared from my toolbox toolbar and does not exist in the drop down menu below either (the cross sign below). Anyone know how I can restore it?
I joined the forum to ask the same question. I did find it in Properties but I'd like to have it back on my toolbar. I can't figure out how to move it. I upgraded from x6 to the subscription after my old computer up and died last week and I'm having trouble getting everything back to where it belongs
Did you import an old workspace? If you did thats probably the reason. F8 on startup and rebuild your workspace. Yes its a b@**@*** but thats because Corel cares not a jot for backward compatability of workspaces.
See my reply to hywelharris below. Might help?
Didn't import an old workspace but its definitely linked to that. I reopened Corel using F8 as you suggested, then set up the workspace afresh (selecting 'Layout'), then reinstated my personal preferences, macro shortcuts etc. Then Tools > Save Settings as Default. It didn't seem to survive the rebooting of my machine so had to go through that same process a few times. Seems to have stuck now so let's hope it lasts. Very flaky, very odd. Haven't experiienced anyhting similar in my many years fo using Corel.

You do not need to use "Save Settings as Default" to save general workspace customization and application preferences.
"Save Settings as Default" has to do with the document properties that are used when new documents are created in the future, e.g., when using the "Create a New Document" dialog.
