I need to add nodes to each segment of a shape such that each node is at a specified distance from the previous one.
I am aware of the + key functionality, but it is not useful as it adds too many nodes on short segments and long segments get nodes too far apart from each other.
EDIT:
I want to add nodes via a macro.
Thanks.
draw circle, radius = specified distance, set circle's centre on first node, intersection with segment will be point of next node
Thanks for the reply.
I missed to specify that I want to do it via a macro.
draw, say, heptagon (7-angled polygone), curve it. Select it and count nodes, will be 14 nodes. Run this macro, each segment will be divided in half.
Sub testNode()Dim z&, segs As Segments Set segs = ActiveShape.Curve.Segments For z = segs.Count To 1 Step -1 segs(z).AddNodeAt 0.5 NextEnd Sub
