Way back in X4 (which I continued to use until recently), I could select (Shift-click) 2 guidelines and the distance between them could be seen in the box at the top. Now with 2018, that doesn't work and can not find any settings that allow it. The box just remains grayed out. This is causing a great deal of pain over here because this function is badly needed. I played with the dimensioning tool but it doesn't really take the place of the function that I seem to have lost. Can anybody please help?
TIA
Corel must have changed it on you from X4. I'll have to test this in X7 at work.
But in v2019 (Update 3) it does the same here as you describe when SHIFT-CLICK (2) horizontal or vertical guidelines. Just dimmed sizing. Guess you could just use (2) horizontal or vertical lines that act as guides instead in the meantime? or rectangle. : /
In X7 and X8, the numbers are grayed, but the width and height of the guideline selection are still shown - and so could be used for measuring with a pair of guidelines selected.
In 2018 and 2019, the width and height numbers are grayed and set to zero.
Thanks to you both for the replies (Max Headroom?). I love it when software engineers that "know better than we do" take away functionality, don't you? Especially so when leaving it alone would have hurt nothing.

Yeah "ticked off Max Headroom" around here with changes like this and the built in bugs with every so called "upgrade". Really messes with your workflow, stuff like this as you are experiencing.
