Hello all,
I use corel 19 for wood engraving and one of my products is custom poker chips. I make The chips from plywood and design in Corel 19
and need to engrave custom sheets with 60-70 chips at a time and need to figure out a way to make one chip a MASTER CHIP so I can Change the text and $ value numbers in only one chip and have it change all the other of the 60-70 chips automatically!
Is this possible in Corel 19
I've tried using the
WINDOW > DOCKERS > OBJECT DATA MANAGER command
but am failing in this endeavor and am not sure if I’m doing it wrong or it is not possible!
Im using the( fit text to path ) command to curve text to rounded edge of chip on top and bottom with name on top then last name on bottom
and putting $5, $10, or $25 in the middle and that works fine but I make custom sets and need to speed up the programming to change names on top and bottom!
Any help is very appreciated!

I think you should use the clone command. If you change the Master the clones will be changed automatically.
Well I tried The clone command and it works for the circle but not for text in the circle! It’ll clone text and circle together but if you change the text in first circle it won’t change text in send circle text.
Also “help” says right click to designate “MASTER” but no master appears in any menu when I right click! I’m using 2019.
Ok found select master command and it highlight first circle but changing text in either circle doesn’t change in the other! ????. It’s almost essential I figure this out! The programming work takes hours if I cant!
You can't clone paragraph text, only artistic text. You don't need to 'designate' a master, just create the clone (Alt-E , N) and then duplicate the clone as many times as you need.
Beware, clones are very buggy. Do not group them with other objects, do not use the Virtual Segment Delete tool on clones or the master, the Knife tool is suspect too. There are other bugs but these are the worst.
Bear in mind if you change any property of a clone it breaks the link to the master, for that property only. You can re-establish the link by right clicking the clone and select 'Revert To Master'.
Awesome. I just Found knife and segment delete this morning I’m painfully slow learning this program but take copious notes when I find new tools that have been there all the time! It took me a year to bend the text around the rounded edge of the poker chip with the “fit text to path command” But I found It
I should have come to you knowledgable people years ago. Started with x7 then 2017 and got a free copy of 2019 with my new engraving machine!
Thx so much! Gonna look at Eskimo’s macros now
