I am a newbie to CorelDRAW, so I have much to learn on the software. As a 35+ year AutoCAD user, I am familiar with graphic editing, hoping to port over my background to Corel. I am looking for the dimension tool location. I do not see it with the other icons on my screen, and it does not show as an option to be added to the icons to the left of my screen (see attached image) I have spent a good bit of time trying to find this and have had no luck at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. In return, if anyone has AutoCAD questions, I will gladly assist with them.
Thank you,
Mark
CorelDRAW has a number of different "workspaces".
It looks to me as though you are using the "Illustration" workspace.
You can add the tools you want to any workspace, but make sure you are in the workspace of your choice to begin with.
yeah, if you are going to use and learn CorelDraw, best to use it's default workspace... unless you really like using the Illustrator workspace. : /
So help me, there's an "Adobe® Illustrator®" workspace AND an "Illustration" workspace.
I delete all of them except my personal workspaces and the default workspace. It's not obvious, either, how to delete workspaces you never want to use.
Thank you for the help sir, the illustrator was my first attempt.
Yes, you are correct. Apparently differnt. I never paid attention to the "illustration" workspace... but also don't use the "Illustrator" workspace or others either. I bounce between Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw all the time, but use all the different shortcut keys etc... I don't really want to make CorelDraw something it is not...or it's nemesis. ; )
If new to CorelDraw and "learning", I'd use the default CorelDraw workspace.

Totally agree!
I've customized my workspace, but much of it still looks a lot like the default.
