What causes a CDR file to become corrupt when trying to import it into a program like VersaWorks 6? We are getting this a lot with CorelDraw 2019. Is there a known solution to this problem?
Are you importing a CDR file to Versaworks? it's supposed that you should use a PDF instead. Publish as PDF/X-4 if you use CMYK as default or change compatibility to Acrobat 9.0 and choose RGB if you use RGB for print
Thank you! We'll try that.
This worked for VersaWorks 5.5 but not VersaWorks 6. VersaWorks is also not giving any indication or error code as to why the file is "corrupt" (in version 6). We cannot get a copy of 5.5 on the new workstation either.
Corel Draw files are not supported in Versaworks.
Try using either a PDF or a TIF file at 100% size and 150DPI
Formats supported: EPS, PDF, TIF, JPG any of those will get you out of trouble.
We are running VW Version 6 and have no trouble with PDF files.
Good Luck
As far I know, CDR files should not work with any version of VersaWorks
You should export as PDF, or JPG, TIF or EPS. btw PDFshould be the best option, specially if you want to print and cut.
