Sigh, Corel Draw just seems to get worse and worse.
I double click color to get the hex value (website design) but I cannot copy and paste? Is there a place to copy and paste or, in 2020, I'm back to re-tying things?
What are you double clicking, in Draw or a web site?
From Corel I eye dropper then have to add to palette, then double click color square.
Did you see my earlier comment about
Envision Design said:I used to use that, but I'm hoping Corel can manage something this basic. Last version it worked, this version it's grayed out.
If you are looking at something like the "Edit Fill" dialog, then those values are grayed out if it is in Color palettes mode. If it's in Color viewers mode, then the values can be accessed for copy/paste/edit.
Sorry, not sure about the terms. Did the steps I am taking (in the previous reply) make sense?

Please show a screenshot of where you are seeing a hex value, but it is "grayed out".
There are lots of "colored squares" in CorelDRAW, and I really don't know for sure which one you are clicking.
lower left
double click color, then click EDIT COLOR
Set it to Color viewers.
If you just need to get the hex value - and don't need to add it to the document palette - then you could use the Color docker. Set the docker to RGB mode, and you can use the eyedropper in that docker to sample colors.
If you click on the "..." there, you also have the option to add whatever color you have in that docker to the document palette.
Even better. Way better.
