When I double click Corel Draw, it shows the green splash picture, shows "Starting User Interface..." and then it just disappears. No crash, no nothing. It just disappears and doesn't open the program.
Same with Corel Photo-Paint and Corel Font Manager.
Curiously, when I try to open a CDR file with CorelDraw, then it opens without problem. In a similar way, when I try to open, let's say, a PNG file with Photo-Painter, the program opens. But Photo-Painter does not load the file. It opens the workspace empty and I have to open the file "again" (or drag and drop it). Corel Draw DOES open the file when summoned from Open with...
I also have Corel Graphics suite X7 installed and it is working with no problem

Tried to run the installer in repair mode. The installer did its things, ended with installation successful but there is no change. Corel draw and the others just show the splash screen and then nothing.
I'm running a trial version in Spanish.

No, I was not asked to login.
Now, this is very annoying: since the repair didn't seem to work, I decided to uninstall the suite, restart the computer and install the trial again. I went through the custom install but didn't change anything so I guess it is as if I run it in default mode. Again, I didn't get any prompt to log in but this time, Corel Draw opened at the end of the process.
But in the welcome screen I'm getting a message that my trial has 0 days left! WTF?!

You said that you have X7 installed on the same machine? If you check the sign in state in the upper right corner by hovering the cursor over it, does the tooltip indicate you are signed in and is there an email address posted there? No need to post the specific email here, but is it the same as X7? If it is signed in and there is an email address, is it one you are familiar with?
Update:
CorelDraw and PhotoPaint seem to be working. I can open them directly now and they load and save. But I suppose this is only for today since the trial counter has gone to zero and I installed the trial just 3 days ago!
Font Manager is still refusing to open. Same behaviour as before.
Also, the account icon in the top right corner shows this message:
I don't think the user is supposed to see a message like this, with that jabberish so there is clearly something wrong here.
I go to help/manage account (I'm translating from Spanish here) and nothing happens so I can't create or login to an account.
