In X6, if you opened a previous file, all you had to do was click on a line of text (already there), and that font would automatically be placed into the top 5 most recently used font list. This was a "fantastic" feature saving tons of time as the alternative would be to re-sift your font list to access that font (this is obviously in case of a revision in which more text is being added using the same font or font family). In 2019 (also saw this in x8 and 2018), if you perform the same action, the font is not added to the list. Client needs another line of text added in same font, but I've been in several other files since the last time accessing the job, the font is long gone from the top five thus requiring to go back and find it again. When I run hundreds of fonts like I do, it's very time consuming... Would love to be able to just click on the line of text that is already there, thus placing it in the top 5 recently used, then I have automatic fast access to it to create my added line of text requiring the same font. Any feedback on this? I'm so tired of trying new versions of corel just to result to stay in X6 because it's so flawless.
On a side note, has there ever been a better version than X6... Can Corel just re-release x6 and make more money than they ever have by releasing a premium product.
the option for show recently used font is under text option (under the dropdown menu) and also you can specify the amount of recented used fonts.

I don't agree with this point of view. For example, X7 is far better than X6. Even X5 was better. Bu it's not about odd/even versions, the version 20.0 (CorelDRAW 2018) if also much better than X6. Less problems, more features, more speed, more stability.
Ariel I appreciate your reply very much! Thank you for taking time to discuss. But out of courtesy I must challenge ya, if you are trying to help, please extend your due diligence. It doesn't appear that you are a very experienced Corel user. First of all, according to your instructions, there is an "option" in the "text drop down menu". See attached screen-shot... Does anyone else see what Ariel is referring too? Additionally (if you will read my entire post), you missed my issue thus confusing this thread. My program already shows the recently used fonts (at 5 total, which is standard). The issue is "clicking on a line of text does not add that font to the list". Only if you edit the line of text or create a new line of text does that font get added to the list. That is the issue.
If you are referring to something else other than what the attached screenshot shows, the community would appreciate your courtesy to explain in clear detail your solution if you indeed have one. And please will you provide the solution as it pertains to the actual issue at hand.
As for X6, again, doesn't sound like you are much of an actual "user" of the program for every day use. It sounds like you are part of the development team that believes in what they create, yet actually doesn't use the program every day. You say x7 is better than x6? Then why did Corel refund my purchase in full after purchasing X7 because I found so many unavoidable bugs and glitches that they confirmed (the technical development team) they could not fix. Not a singel one of these bugs or glitches appear in my X6 software. I have now attempted to use X7, X8, and 2019... I use the program 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, and create anywhere from 30-100 art jobs a week. Why, if all these other versions are so much better, am I creating my current job in X6 because it's the only program that does what I need it to do with zero problems. Again, I am someone who uses the program every hour of every day. We need feedback from people like us, not people who don't use it.
I'm with you Rick, this is annoying.
I understand what you are saying. I am tired of re-hunting for fonts
Thank you NUTTZ33...
Ariel I finally put together your vague feedback. I have attached a screenshot to confirm. Again, this was never the issue, as you can see the option is already selected.
I'm sorry, I was working while post the answer, so I haven't enough time to explain more or attach an screenshot.
