In all previews versions of CorelDraw including 2018 when i select F10 and then F2 - zoom, by selecting selecting or pressing F2 all my nodes get deselected. I will attach a video https://photos.app.goo.gl/6zqZgDMDSVubd5ML8
If someone can tell me how to fix that that will be great
I see the same behavior with X7. I rarely use the zoom tool so it's not a problem. Never really understood the overuse of the zoom tool. You can zoom in or out with the mouse wheel.
F10 is indeed the Shape tool, but I never use it, my customised workspace has Alt-Space for Shape tool. F2 is the one shot zoom, not the zoom tool. So if you've got something else happening its a fair bet that your workspace is messed up.
I see the same thing in 2019 - and that is really bad!Using Zoom One-shot (F2) should not change the visibility of nodes. If I have Object Details visible in the Status Bar, it still shows the nodes as being selected. It is the display on the screen that is wrong.I think that the nodes are in fact still selected. If I use nudge, for example, the nodes move (and become visible again).

It's all a matter of what works best for you and the work you do. If the scroll wheel suits you, then party on!
To go from a "big picture" view down to a much smaller view to inspect/edit details, I find that a marquee zoom works very well for me. Zoom One-shot is super-useful because it gives me one marquee zoom, then reverts back to the tool I was using.
My comfort with marquee zoom may come from experience with CorelDRAW and CAD software that predates the wide availability / popularity of scroll wheels on mice.
You are right. the nodes are still selected, but not visible which is super strange and the most strange thing is when i contacted the support team from coreldraw multiple times about this issue they all told me everything is fine with the software and the problem was on my side and wanted me to repair the software! they even didnt wanted to see and try what was the real problem. which is a shame.
