Is there any way to stop the save disk icon from turning on even if I switch documents? It's really annoying and makes me wonder if I already saved or not and some documents are huge so it takes time to save them.
It must have something to do with how the document is monitored in terms of the 'dirtyiness' of it and some things are picked up and registered as a dirty doc when it really isn't. Anyone dirty?
There are two ways to get around this - click the page number at bottom (if you can see the one you want) or use the arrow buttons section at bottom left.
I've got another instance of the file becoming 'dirty' with no changes.
Open the attached file , click on a guideline and watch the asterisk appear.
Only happens if the file containes clones and guidelines I think.Clones Save Test01.zip
Save the file and change the suffix to .cdr. STUPID forum won't let me upload a .cdr file!!!!!. FFS this is a CorelDraw forum......
Actually I took your file and deleted everything but the guidelines and save as. Closed the file and opened the new file the instant I clicked the guidelines it the asterisk appeared. So maybe it's the guidelines.
David, can you create a new file, add a guideline and nothing else, save and close the file. then re-open and try clicking the guideline. I'm on Win7 64, it is vaguely possible that its OS related I spose other wise there'd be more reports of this I'd think.
I've reported it to Corel. I seem to vaguely recall I reported it in 2018 too. Makes me wonder why we bother....
I already did, in 2018 and 2019. Start a document add guidelines save the file, close the file or even close CD. Open the file click the guideline and BINGO! Asterisk appears in both versions.
It might be that the guideline is so sensitive that just clicking it moves it a bit?
