How do I transfer all my customization and macros, etc. to the 2019 version? I was running version X8 and upgraded to 2019.
Not sure how much (or if at all) you can import from a customized workspace from X8, but I strongly suggest you recreate it from scratch anyway. So much has happened since X8 and it is very likely that there may be incorrect menu items or shortcuts that don't work, and so on.Your macros can be found in C:\Users\ username \AppData\Roaming\Corel\ suite name \Draw\GMS, and it is possible to copy the folder content from one version to another. No guarantee that all macros work with all versions though, so you have to test them to find out.Note: Draw must be restarted after adding macros.
I agree with Ronny that it is probably safer to do workspace customization "from scratch".
For macros, in addition to the folder location that Ronny described, there is another location where they can be installed (and be accessible to all users on the machine, as it is not a "user" folder). I have some information about that in this blog post: #1: Getting started with using VBA macros (What do you do with a .GMS file?).
Some commercial macros may be "tied" to a specific version of CorelDRAW.
i will throw in an agreement with Ronny and Eskimo; due to major problems in the past, even though my customized workspace is massive, i always recreate from scratch.
