20 year Corel PC user, just bought a pretty new green iMac and the 2021 Corel for Mac but none of the alignment shortcuts, page centre etc work....anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
I'm not a Mac user, but I am pretty sure many of the shortcuts in the Mac version of CorelDRAW had to change to work around Apple's UI standards for OSX.
I must ask why you bought a MAC? No offense just collecting data.
You'll find many things that made CorelDRAW intuitive on a PC gone on the MAC because it's Apples way of doing things.
Corel 2021 have changed a lot of small things. Use the Shift + C/L/R/T/B to align. I also bought a Mac and is taking some time do adapt. One of the parts I couldn't understand why we can't apply the online color using the right mouse button. To duplicate an object you just drag with the right mouse button. To copy the color from an object to another, drag the right m. button with shift pressed. To copy the outline, use the Option button instead of shift.
Hi Rafael - that really helps, thanks so much! its so stupid though because the shortcuts I found within the system and printed out still show the align shortcuts as Control L etc for alignment....you've taught me its worth just trying shift/control/option/command in case one of them works!
Hi @rafael_nubile did you ever find a work around for applying the outline with a right click? I also moved over to Mac this year after years of using Corel on Windows and I've ironed out all the kinks except that one. It seems the Mac version has no Customisation menu in the preferences. That's where you go on the Windows version to toggle between the right click being the outline fill or opening the content menu. I've had to just get used to the right click bringing up the menu and then selecting "set outline color", but the extra step is frustrating.
