Dear Corel users
I have been using CorelDRAW with delight for many years, actually since version 8 back in the late 90's. Mostly I am using CorelDRAW and Corel PhotoPaint for creating web graphics or graphics for my math documents (pdf). I have however encountered a strange behavior in EMF export. It is present in CorelDRAW 2020 and unfortunately as well in the new evaluation copy of CorelDRAW 2022, which I am testing at the moment. In earlier versions of CorelDRAW it worked properly. I hope someone can pinpoint the problem and where it resides ...
I have created a short screencast to show the issue:

NB! The need to handle mathematical formulas in my documents does prevent me from applying any shortcuts like exporting from CorelDRAW to pdf directly ...
Kind regards,
Erik V.
I tried it, and I see the same thing that you do using CorelDRAW 2020 and 2022.
When I try it using CorelDRAW 2018, then it works correctly.
One workaround - which is of course not optimal - would be to convert the text to Curves before exporting.
Thanks, Eskimo, for verifying this strange behavior. You are right about the workaround, but it will interfere with the text being searchable in a pdf. It can be used for special cases though. I guess it is a thing Corel has to look at!
Regards,
Can I assume Windows 10? Do you have all updates to Windows?
Yes all updates to Windows 10. The issue also happened way before Windows 11 arrived! Can someone verify the behavior in Windows 11?
I'm trying to remember if that font is a Windows or an Office font? Do you have MS Office loaded?
