As a CorelDraw user for 20 years, I've now become interested in doing some 3D projects.
What program is the most compatible with the Corel family of graphics. Or, is there a 3D Corel program
that I'm not aware of????
Thanks,
model1990
Hi, Model1990:In the earlier version of CorelDRAW 8, there was an application that they integrate in that suite. It was called CorelDream3D. It was just a mere attempt to make 3D, with this application, and in that way, compete in one way or another with Adobe Illustrator. They discontinued that version pretty soon, though. Now, let me tell you: I am dedicated to the 3D industry, working with architectural renderings and animation. What I have seen thorough those years is that the most common 3D packages around the worl use the Adobe Illustrator 88 format as their standard for working with 2D lines and then converting them to 3D objects via Extrude and Lathe commands or modifiers. They use this very old format because is the most suitable for this purpose of translating 2D to 3D. Although, when you get seasoned knowledge, and you get used to Vertex, Polygons, Faces and Splines, you hardly ever have to use the help of that Illustrator file format.
Thanks...LF-Lizmark
LF-Lizmark,
Thanks, for the response. It was the straight forward response that I was looking for.
After checking out some of the the other offerings and how they integrate, I need to re-evaluate my future software purchases.
Again, Thanks,
