Hi all !
I think I'm not the first one to have this kind of problem. If someone could help me !
In X4 since today, while exporting my work as a JPG file, the export doesn't work at all when I want to create for example a 300ppp JPG file ! A size of 1x1 px is automatically shown and I just can't export high res JPG as I always do.
As a result, the JPG is never created, it only works when I am putting resolution lower and lower...
What's the problem ? How can I fix this ?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP !...
Are you sure that your job is inside the page, on a printable layer? if you have your drawing in the "desktop" layer (outside the page) the file will not exported or printed.
Corel has a limit on the number of pixels that it can export to a jpeg file. I can not recall what it is at the moment (30000 in one direction?).
sorry that I can not be more helpful, here. But let me ask you why do you want a jpeg file? Is this for print, web page, or what?
Thanks a lot for your quick answers.
@ Ariel : Yes, my work is always completely created inside the page, as always. The problem appeared very recently, normally the JPG export (or any non-vector format) worked very well, with the sizes (generally 600, 800, 1024, 1600, maximum 2000 px large) and resolutions (72 or 300ppp) I needed for my works.
@ Hugh : It is of course much lower than 30.000px . As said above, my export are not larger than 2000px large, generally. To give you an answer, I have to create JPG for differents purposes : mail advertising/campaigns, web pages templates, logo deliveries (in addition to vector formats)... but always for numeric uses. For print works (brand identity supports, brochures, ads, plaquettes, letterheads), I mainly use PDF exports.
The problem appeared yesterday, to be precise I wanted to export a web template for a corporate client, 1600px large, the graphic identity of their future website. Usually, there are never any problem with this kind of normal use in Corel. And when I tried to export the JPG, it was impossible : above 800 or 900px large, the image wasn't exported (as if it was too big), and also the values displayed for "file size" for example had no sense (for example 4,69ko for a 1600px large JPG...).
The strange thing is that I had never had this kind of problem before... Corel normally supports quite large exports, and for sure 1024, 1600 or even 2000pax large, even at 300ppp.
Which kind of bug can it be ? Is there a parameter inside Corel that I have to change in order to fix this ?
Thanks a lot, have a good evening and I forgot to wish u a happy new year before ;)...

No, it doesn't seems any bug. At least, can be a memory problem. Can you post the CDR file? if it's too big, you can upload to a free storage service (such as gigasize.com, megaupload.com, yousendit.com...) or if you want, you can send me e message (ariel.garaza @ gmail.com)
