Jeff Harrison is missing the chance to upsell this time. There is a macro on his site that is part of the woxxom tools package called Transparent Edge. Costs $10 for the set. Worth every penny, because you can make any edge (bitmap, curve or text) transparent, curved, straight or otherwise, and it is STILL editable. I'm not sure why this isn't a standard feature in Corel by now (sorry jeff). If a shadow can follow an edge, a transparency or fill should be able to also.

Cool, I didn't realize this one worked on bitmaps too. :-) This ability has renewed my interest in this component.
I like that the rendering resolution updates in an elegant way, and is flexible for DPI amount. IMO this is important for people who know what they want for a larger project such as a sign and where 300 DPI can be too processor intensive.
