HELP! I have had Corel X4 installed for about 3 months then all of a sudden it has stopped working.
Everytime I try to start the app it comes up with "Product Installation Unsuccessful Please Reinstall Error 24" and closes. We have this installed on quite a number of computers with different legit keys on each.
I have tried repairing the installation through add/Remove programs with no success, one one computer tried uninstalling then reinstalling but when installing it comes up with "Invalid Key" when trying to reinstall, which is weird because it worked before and is legit. All computers running Windows XP and had CorelX4 SP1 installed. Have tried installing the Hotfix1 (no sucess).
Have looked through the forums here and can't really see anything that will help. Would really appreciate some info, cheers.
Hello all,
On behalf of the entire CorelDRAW team, I am very sorry for the inconvenience some users have experienced as a result of this error message and have been victims of software pirates. I have just posted a detailed entry in my blog that provides the details behind what is happening and also provides those affected with an option to get the problem resolved. You can get the details at following address:

Yes if you are getting error 24... you have beta / time trial or hacked activation version.
Yes there are fixes if you look (only a dtr file causing it) and will be common knowledge soon anyway.
Don't think crack users are going to buy legit anyway... but to join this forum for technical support is actually absurd and you
are wasting all of our time. Take Corel up on their offer to come clean or stop wasting everybodies time.

It still amazes me to find that there are people out there that knowingly have pirated software and they want Corel to fix their pirated software, for free, and rant and rave if a free solution is not offered, immediately. Especially on a forum, run by, owned by the very corporation that these people stole from. Yes, stealing the use of software without getting anyplace near the EULA of that software.
The next post I read that someone has an illegal copy of the CGS and expects Corel to hand them, free, an unlimited license or posts a possible means to continue illegal use of stolen software, I'll scream, right after I punch a hole in the wall in front of me.
But, I applaud those that have been scammed and have/are making their copies of the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite legitimate, such as Carol, above. I do feel sorry that they were victims of theives (can't call them 'pirates' as they are thieving). These people have lost money to the scammers.
(Just my two cents on this whole mess.)
