CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 Pantone shades missing

Pantone shades missing

Hello guys!

I have found out that the Pantone shades that were added later on are not found in Corel X6.

For ex:- Pantone 2300C

How to I add these colors to Corel.

The easiest way to get the new colours is to upgrade to X7, which includes pantone 2300 (and presumably other new colours) in its pantone+ palette.

Within X6, probably the best you can do is to create your own spot colour palette and add the new colours individually, but this sounds like a lot of work.

Thanks for the solution :) Purchasing X7 as if now is next to impossible :( I could create a spot colour palette but i need the exact Pantone shade to send it to the printer for printing job which would be little difficult as i work with Pantone's all the time & I have to use these extra Pantone's also a couple of times. My printer has Corel X4, to my surprise Pantone 2300C exists in his colour palette though being lower version than X6 & its missing in X6(Strange!!!!). Pls. leme know if there's any way i can add these extra pantone's to my colour palette. Thanks again

I still have X4 on an old machine. It does not have the pantone plus palette and does not include pantone 2300 in the standard palette.

Maybe your printing company managed to buy an updated palette direct from pantone, or has managed to import it from somewhere else.

but read it carefully -- I couldn't decide whether the colour manager includes the licence for the pantone plus palette or if you have to buy that instead of the colour manager.

Yes, the Pantone color manager has all the palettes. I use it. But if I recall...and I am not at the computer right now...there is no direct export to coreldraw. It's an ase.

But here's the thing. What is only needed is a color, any color designated as a spot color, for the print establishment to print that plate. I'll look up the color value in a bit. Then name it a spot color. It will have the proper appearance on screen but more importantly it will have its own plate.

I would like to know if this is really about x4 or x6.
