I've got a weird issue. Just spent some time on fixing up my logo. Ended up using both Text and creating my own/warping existing text to make the font.
Looks ok.
But anyways, I have a little bit of an issue. The center of the O (font not hand made) is not showing in NORMAL view but shows just fine in Wireframe. Just wondering why this could be?
First, try selecting the centre and its outer, and arrange > combine the two. That usually works.
If it doesn't (or if your objects are already combined), then it may be necessary to reverse the direction of the centre path. Break them apart again, select a node with the shape tool (F10), right click on it and select reverse subpath. Then combine again.
Hello NickSorenson; A text shows a different size after it is converted to curves. If text has to be centered in something it is best to convert it to curves first, that way you get the true center with most TTF font's.

Thank you Harry. I tried that and it didn't seem to take. Also in NORMAL view if I fill the object the entire "O" Fills and you cannot see a center (Just a circle with blue fill and that's it).
Interesting TheSignGuy. I just tried to convert it to curves and the O didn't have that option. It just showed two nodes (one per concentric circle) and that's it.
EDIT: Actually I went to nodes menu and it wouldn't give me ANY nodes when I clicked on the O. Interesting.
If the two parts are already part of a group, you will need to ungroup them before combining.
If that's not the problem, maybe you could copy and paste the two parts of the O into a new, empty document and upload it here for checking.
