I've got a weird issue. Just spent some time on fixing up my logo. Ended up using both Text and creating my own/warping existing text to make the font.
Looks ok.
But anyways, I have a little bit of an issue. The center of the O (font not hand made) is not showing in NORMAL view but shows just fine in Wireframe. Just wondering why this could be?
Hello NickSorenson; A text shows a different size after it is converted to curves. If text has to be centered in something it is best to convert it to curves first, that way you get the true center with most TTF font's.

Interesting TheSignGuy. I just tried to convert it to curves and the O didn't have that option. It just showed two nodes (one per concentric circle) and that's it.
EDIT: Actually I went to nodes menu and it wouldn't give me ANY nodes when I clicked on the O. Interesting.
If the two parts are already part of a group, you will need to ungroup them before combining.
If that's not the problem, maybe you could copy and paste the two parts of the O into a new, empty document and upload it here for checking.
I did try ungrouping first. Didn't seem to want to take.
But got it! I had to just manually make a new circle in the O and delete the old one. Did the trick.
I'm still having to manually fill the inside of the R with White to keep it the same as the background. Not sure why that would be.

That sounds like the same problem. Perhaps the inside is not a closed curve? But recreating the inside will probably solve it.
Agree with Foster and Harry; most likely the curves are running in the same direction, and one of them needs to be reversed.
Another possible cause could be that there are actually two inner circles on top of each other, so instead of being an "O" made of two circles, it's made up of three.
Please try to post a file (CDR) containing the "O".
