I've been using CorelDraw since the early 90's. I don't use many features, X4 or even earlier versions do what I need. Windows 10 says CorelDraw X4 it is incompatible. I have a modest number of .cdr files that I would really like to use. What are the alternatives short of the latest (expensive) version?
I attempted to install X4 in my Windows 10 partition and Windows said it would damage my computer, wow that's not nice.I did install CorelDraw8 (circa 1997) but it wouldn't run.
Please upload x4 software for windows 10.. Please please please please
I don't think it is reasonable to think about updating version 14.0 when version 22.0 is already being considered. A similar update would mean making a new version, something illogical at this time. In addition, the X4 version does not support the new color management, incorporated in X5, does not allow the color profile to be included in the document, does not support OpenType fonts ... and the list of incompatibilities, errors and defects is too long.
I don't think you can't install X4 directly on Windows 10. In the early days of Windows 10 I could get X4 to run by installing on Windows 7 and then upgrading from Windows 7 to windows 10. After its installed, run in compatibility mode and see if Win 7 or Vista compatibility mode works best. Even so, the menu bar is invisible until you hover the mouse over it. In the end I decided to upgrade to X8 to avoid the hassle.
Kind regards
