I have the Guidebook, that is COOL! but does Corel sell a printed content manual? I would love to have that PDF content manual as a printed book. I know it would be 414 pages but it would be cool.
I'll put my hat in the ring for a printed version. I'm an electrical engineer by trade, and years ago the component manufacturing companies slowly started moving away from printed data sheets in favor of PDF version. While PDFs may make searching for text easier, they cannot compare to a printed manual when it comes time to compare two images/fonts. While I realize there is a financial savings involved in printing, storing, and shipping such printed material, it does users a real disservice to expect them to access that info strictly through the screen. The component manufacturing companies sent sets of thick databooks (measured in feet of shelf space per company) for FREE, so I don't think it's too much to ask for Corel to include a 1-2" thick book in the boxed sets.

Same here. No loss to not have it printed.

I usually use ROMCat too, but what about the Corel Connect thing? Does it replace ROMCat? And I also notice that there is a database in the same folder as the extras, does that index all stuff for Corel Connect? And in that case, if i want to store the clipart on another drive, what do I do then to index it?
I have now indexed the clipart with ROMCat, and it went smoothly, but I remember there was some change to the clipart some versions ago, so that the usual indexing didn't work. Has that been corrected now? Keywords seem to be embedded now.

Whether Connect replaces ROMCat is up to the individual user. It hasn't for me. Right now there is no way to tell Connect where to find clip art files without hacking the registry. In theory, Connect could do much more than ROMCat. But right now it is far from functional and quite unstable for many users. Even when it does work as Corel desires, I don't see that I'll use it much. ROMCat is just a much better choice for my own usage.

The clip art supplied with CorelDRAW 11, 12 and X3 did not have any keywords embedding in the supplied CDR files. That was why you couldn't create your own index with ROMCat. CorelDRAW X4 and X5 do include keywords in the CDR files and thus they work great with ROMCat. As I understand it, they were removed from the CDR files for those three versions because CDR format only supported five keywords per file and the keywords needed to be in multiple languages. The newer CDR file format supports many more (don't know the limit if there is one) keywords and so each file now includes keywords in many languages.
Thank you Foster.
I noticed that the premium fonts and some of the WGL4 premium fonts, are printed with just plain Arial in the Printed Content Manual...
