I am doing a test. It is quite interesting. I have attached a file. It was done in Corel X5. And then we down save to X3.
When we opened it in Corel X3, all effects we did are lost.While we are in Corel X3, we open a new document and move the erroneous file onto a new document, the effects appeared. However, all Pantone colors are jumble up at the Separation Tab.
Any advise or thoughts on this one?
I have attached a zip file that contains the X3 down save as well as the original X5

It opened perfectly in X3 and X5 here. Certain features are not available in lower file formats when downsaving.
Also, Which effects in particular are you meaning?

Thanks for your messages. I am at home right now. I will try solutions you have suggested. Yes, effects turn into white fill. Maybe F8 could help. Will let you know as I did the test. Will keep you informed.
Strange that it does not happen on your computer but happens to ours.
Hi!We just tried the old trick F8 but unfortunately did not work.
But what we did was we exported the file as CMX and then import into Corel X3, this time it worked.
