Corel draw X5 with "unbuffered" and "not ECC" RAM

Hi everybody,

I'm looking to buy a new computer for using Corel Draw X5, I've found on the web an HP workstation with an interesting price, I only find in the details the RAM is "unbuffered" and "not ECC". Can I have some problem working with Corel Draw X5? and then when I will work with X7?

I'm really not expert about hardware, can anyone help me

Thanks

  • The memory question is explained at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registered_memory but I don't think it will prevent any software from working.

You should also note that X5 is not designed to run on windows 8, which most off-the-shelf computers will now have. It is (so I understand) possible to make it work in windows 8 using a compatibility mode, so you should be able to get it to work. But you will not get much help if it does not, and should consider the possibility that you might need to upgrade X5 sooner than you intended.
