Is it possible to do this in photopaint http://youtu.be/iHNO4Sgnw5E I know we have pattern fill tools in draw and paint but I want the pattern to bend around an object as if it is wrapping paper
Of course. Tutorial series:
Displace part 1
Displace part 2
Displace part 3
Part 2 is the one you want, but be sure to read part 1 as well. I threw in part 3 in case you want to go further.
And more on the Displace effect from a Corel master: CorelDRAW Master, Maurice Beumers shares tips to understand the Displace Effect in Corel® PHOTO-PAINT
Have fun.
Can somebody try the tutorial for "Displace part 3" and see if it will work in x6. The step with "control key+up arrow" to create another layer does nothing here. I'm trying to reproduce the effect but cant get past that step.
Try this (exactly)...
If this does not happen, let us know, your short cut keys may need re-configuring
Mike ...your test worked exactly as it should. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Guess I'll try it again as soon as I can. Its got to be something I'm doing wrong. Thanks Mike.
Well I tried the tutorial again but I still cannot get the results the author is getting..... Using Windows 7..I split the screen with the tutorial on one side and PhotoPaint on the other and following to the letter. Still does not work for me. I see the copyright date is 2001 so I guess 13 years might be the difference. Guess I'll have to give up on learning this nice effect!
I'm trying that tutorial again and I see that when I get to step #5...that's when things go bad. Control + shift + A does nothing and the control + up arrow does nothing. Anybody want to give it a try? Should I F8 and restart PhotoPaint?
I will do a short tutorial for you, give me an hour.
Thanks so much Mike. I really want to learn how this is done.

I went through the post following their steps and Ctrl+shift+A is now related to "Aligning Objects" (x6) so that wont work for you, now it is Ctrl+M.
But to simplify.....
