For me, no other languages but spanish are listed in tools/options/global and english is not selectable in uninstall/modify.
How do I get english to be my language in corel?
I'm on Puerto Rico and that may be the issue, but PR is by law supposed to be bilingual, english/spanish.
I don't know spanish, please help me out.
Thanks,
Kel
I see the Languages Folder with a Spanish folder inside.
Is there a patch, or maybe a direct link to download the folders of other languages and just drop them in the Languages Folder?
I doubt it would be that simple but I had to ask.
I assume one has to go through the installation/modification stuff.
The other issue is that it's X5.
Yeah, no bueno with the Trial Version.
It knew who I was and where I am and automatically went all Spanish.
And I went to Custom Installation and just like when I go to uninstall/modify English is grayed out and not selectable and reads: ingles (necesario).
Well, if it's necesario why doesn't it install English?
Technically, for Puerto Rico, both Spanish and English should automatically be loaded.
PR is owned by the United States and may become a State someday.
And most of the people I've come in contact with speak English, and like everyone under 40.
They take 12 years of English in school, then they go to uni, much of which is English, then they try to get jobs in the States.
English is all over down here.
This is really annoying.
Why are we stuck with just Spanish as our language option.
I even did the registration after launching X7 Trial and put Estados Unidos, hoping it would get the English hint but sadly no it did not.
And it's not just English that is a problem.
Corel won't allow me to install any other languages than Spanish.
What if I were French and living on Puerto Rico?
This is awful.
And it should just be a matter of clicking a button to switch between languages.
Maybe I'm gonna finally learn Spanish and will want to switch back and forth between the languages.
One day may be slow and I'll play around in Corel in Spanish, saving English for another day that is busy and I need to work faster but I still want to practice Spanish so that I get better at it.
I have friends that know more than two languages, maybe they wanna work in three or more languages, depending on the day or the task or whatever.
If you go to windows control panel > programs and features (or add/remove programs if it is XP), you will probably find an entry for CorelDraw. You should then be able to select the modify option and somewhere in the screens that follow, there ought to be an option to add any languages which were included in the download.

I'm sure one of the Spanish users could help you more. But I'm wondering if the problem is a windows setting.
If you're using windows 7, there's another control panel > Region and Language. Make sure your Location is correct there and also look at the Keyboards and Languages section. This seems to be mainly for the language in windows, but its also likely that CorelDraw reads some of those settings and uses it to determine which options it offers, either at install time or when using the program.
