Hi Guys,
A CorelDraw noob here, I really need your expert advice...
My CorelDaw keeps crashing due to my file being HUGE (almost half a gig) - the vectors that I'm using are making my life a living hell. And I'm afraid that if it crashes one more time I will have a mental breakdown.. Do you guy shave any tips on how to keep what I've designed,(i'm making gift labels) but decrease the file size? I'm thinking of turning my vectors into either a JPEG or PNG and then using them in that format instead of working with them as editable..
Will this work?
Sincerely,
A nervous wreck
You're using more than vectors if the file is that size. Any shadows and or other transparencies?
Caznut said:no, not that I can see hey.. I literally just imported the vectors and worked with the parts I needed from there - I did manage to bring the file size a considerable amount yesterday by doing so cleaning.. Will my "picture of the vector" plan work? instead of using the vectors
If you're not using bitmaps it's not normal to have so big file, unless you're using an effect (such a drop shadow) to a very large object
Convert to bitmap may be a workoraound sometimes, but it's not a solution. Not all jobs can be send as bitmap, and usually, bitmaps should be bigger than vectors.
Can you attachj a sample? or upload to free storage service such as wetransfer.com
