I use Corel Draw to convert images into PLT format for my engraving machine to read.
yesterday i attempted to make an image, ready to engrave, but corel draw is only creating an 'outline', and not a full image. (see iamge below) . How can i make it save the iamge with full colour?????? thanks
As far as I know the PLT (HPGL) format doesn't support fills at all (why should it, it was designed for pen plotters). Only way to get a fill is to simulate it, using evenly spaced lines. This can be set on the Advanced tab in the PLT export dialog. Wonder why you had fills before you reinstalled Draw, if that was the case, and not after. Sounds like you have been using another export format without knowing it. Does your engraving software accept other formats, like EPS, PDF or SVG for example?
