As the subject line says, im just wondering what the shipping dates are like for the boxed version. I have ordered the upgrade version from Amazon UK and an estimated dispatch date of the 15th March is listed on my order confirmation. Obviously, ive seen elsewhere dates such as 27th mentioned.
I am currently using (aside from my old trusty X4 ;) ) the trial version which now has 20 days left on it.
Enjoying working my way through it and have just had a play with the mesh tool... superb improvements in that area guys! - WELL impressed. X5 really does feel like a far more polished product than X4.
Andy,
our internal target date is March 24 for North America and Western Europe, and we have actually started shipping some orders in North America at the every end of last week. For Latin America and Australia / New Zealand, we will start shipping from our warehouses on March 24, but it will take a little longer to find its way (shipping + customs can take a while).
As a side note regarding the box, I posted a little video showing it: http://community.coreldraw.com/blogs/gerard/archive/2010/03/19/preview-of-the-coreldraw-graphics-suite-x5-packaging.aspx

Hi Gerard,
Many thanks for replying to the question. Video of the box looks superb. I love the idea of the hardbacked cover book.
I only have 6 days left on the trial version which may well end before the box version arrives from Amazon. Is there any way to extend the trial version by even a few days? (I think this was done for X4 when it was released) - Not a major issue if not as I still have my old faithful X4 installed ;)
Just had a message from Amazon.co.uk saying that the release date for the X5 Upgrade Box now has an estimated release date of 28th May :S - The evaluation version runs out tomorrow :(
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
I have pinged my colleague who is working with Amazon.co.uk to see if there is anything that can be done. Corel started shipping yesterday in Europe, and it can take a few days to find its way to Amazon, but not over 1 month.
Many thanks for your response about this.
I would order direct from Corel but it works out at £59 (inc delivery) more than the amazon price. I dont really understand why there is such a huge difference with the Corel Direct price being that much more.

OK, I got the word back from my colleague in the UK (thank you Christina). The shipping date from Amazon.co.uk should get updated shortly... according to the information I have, the boxes have been shipped from Corel to Amazon, and Amazon.co.uk should be getting them by Tuesday of next week & ship them shortly after.
the corel store price is a joke for EU customer. A way of money making in a stupid way. - because we know the price in "$/€"
What can we do as EU customer - don´t buy it for this price.
